>>i had a doctor’s appointment at 24 weeks. i’m up 13 pounds but there’s not much else to report. my heartburn still hasn’t been bad enough to take tums and my lower back has started hurting when i move certain ways. other than that, no news is good news! to brett’s dismay, the doctor didn’t double check the gender. brett won’t accept it’s a girl until she’s in his arms, i reckon. he did use the doppler to find her heart beat which was hard to find at first with all the kicks! it was so fun to be able to hear her kicks at the same time i was feeling them!
>>brett felt her move for the first time! and said, “there’s a gremlin in there!” haha. i caught her for once on video too during work one day last week. there are three good ones that you can see.
>>we started our gift registry! it was good and frustrating ha. we’re just so picky and we want everything to be plain! why must everything be so cutesy and covered in prints/characters?! we kept saying “we’ll just look online for more options for that” haha. it was also funny cause when the kid gave us the scanner he was like “which registry is this for, wedding or baby?” haha so i’m still not in the strangers easily being able to tell i’m preg phase! or he just knows not to assume anything about anyone ever? ha(brett saying a picture? srsly? then me explaining the odd angle of the next shot… to try and see my bump! ha)(thanks for the goodie bag target, but really did you have to put numbers on the diaper consumption for me? #ohgreat)>>i’m still hitting up the gym and working. counting down the days though! we hit the 100 days left mark yesterday! woo!
>>i took (and passed!!!!) my glucose test. i got lucky and my lab keeps the syrup in the fridge so it was nice and cold. i got the lemon/lime flavor so it just tasted like flat sprite. as i sat in the nice waiting room listening to the sweet, sweet lab ladies chattering in the background, i thought to myself that this lab is definitely the silver lining of our insurance switch fiasco. we may be paying an arm and a leg for this baby now that we’re on brett’s insurance, but at least i get to sit in a lab that doesn’t feel dirty and rude like our last insurance covered.>>and just for fun since i’m wearing the same skirt, here’s a side by side from the plum week to the cantaloupe week!
26 weeks tomorrow! 6 months pregnant?! how did that happen?!
