i can’t believe it’s been five years! what in the world! our wedding weekend feels like it was just yesterday and a lifetime ago at the same time. i’m so excited to move into the next phase of our lives together now as we embark on parenthood. can’t wait for lily to come into the world to watch brett with her. love you boo! thanks for keeping me laughing, grounded, and practicing my angry eyes these last five years.brett was scheduled to work the night shift on our anniversary, but luckily he got switched to the morning shift the week before. (when he told me about his schedule changes i said oh good that’s our anniversary and he was like oooh right yeah i planned that. ha) we went out to masa for the first time for our anniversary date. oh my deliciousness. everything sounded soo good that we just went with the waitress’ top two suggestions and they did not disappoint! my thai coconut curry chicken fed me for two days and brett’s chilean sea bass melted in our mouths! so weird to think this is our last anniversary that we won’t have to worry about a babysitter!we don’t do gifts for anniversaries (and this year our trip will just be a temple trip/baby supplies run, which is very fitting, but one day i’ll get my cruise dang it!) but we realized this week while brett got evan’s help to make a baby gym for me, that it could count as my gift since this year’s traditional gift is wood. excited to see the finished product!
and just for fun since this is a milestone anniversary, here’s a little infographic of the last five years. (and just imagine i wasn’t too lazy to try and figure out/fit our vegan cookie/pizza consumption on there.)
