some odds and ends from christmas break and january…
after christmas, evan and i took a trip up to moultrie to ambush brett at work for a flu shot. i loooove surprises so i was pretty much in heaven with this scheme. i couldn’t stop giggling as soon as we set foot in his store… and the fact that he was so focused on his work that he didn’t notice us talking to the tech 5 feet away just made it that much worse for me to keep my composure. i’m sure the tech though i was nutso, especially since i was videoing it also ha. he didn’t notice us until evan’s shot order came through for him to ok and he looked up with the best “you gotta be kidding me” look on his face. priceless. the first thing he said was “seriously? you couldn’t have picked a better time of day?!” ha. it was super busy and doing shots puts him behind. whoops! :) the lady in that picture above complained to me about how slow they were being, haha my bad!
brett finally got his christmas wish from 2011… a forever lazy! he found them online for $3 each so he bought three. when the packages arrived and we’d donned our matching prison jumpsuit pj’s, he announced this year was the best christmas ever. such a goob. also it’s amazing how that butt flap really does work. forever lazy indeed. ;)
i got to tag along with my mom on my niece’s first temple trip. it was so strange to go as an adult on a youth trip, especially with the ward i grew up in. emily also met us there so the three of us got to do a session together.

we hosted todd at sarah at our house on mlk day weekend. todd and i had been planning a surprise party for her that weekend and we pulled it off beautifully! i’m obsessed with those floating words on fishing string and we collected things people love about her to put on the blown up balloons.
also that weekend, we celebrated emily’s birthday and hung out as a family on mlk day (minus worker bee bretty).
and with that i’m all caught up! whoop!

I love those lazy pajamas!! They look pretty comfy. Hurray to be caught up! Looks like lots of fun and awesome surprises =) Great job pulling them off.
yay for being all caught up! bet thats a load off! now time to keep up!
those forever lazys are amazing! the butt flap is what makes them awesome. and it’s sad to see an empty house behind you :(
love that y’all surprised brett at work AND to get a flu shot none the less! how is cariayn old enough for a temple trip?! seems like she was getting baptized yesterday! best birthday surprise ever! those slips of paper are very cherished and provide much needed pick-me-ups! thanks for helping todd pull it off–he couldn’t have done it without you!
