bear with me. you may not care about stuff from over a month ago, but i want it recorded on this journal for me so here we go…

disgustingly enough, black friday started on thanksgiving for us. brett was finally going to get his long awaited new tv. he spent weeks researching deals and scoping out his options. it was so funny watching the boys at the dinner table after we’d eaten thanksgiving, with the ads spread out and the game plan forming, deliberating  over tv brand quality and sizes.photo 1(1) photo 1 brett settled on a tv from walmart which was going to be available at 10pm that night. he had no idea how many people were going to line up for it so he got there at 5pm just to be safe! kyre was nice enough to go with him so i almost just dropped them off and went back to the thanksgiving festivities. then i realized this was too funny not to at least go in and look at. big shocker, brett was number 2 in line. there was one tech savvy senior citizen couple in line already when we got there.photo 2 blackfri

i hung out for an hour or so, grabbed a few deals (new tupperware yay! ha) and saw a security officer tell them they had to return the lawn chairs. when i got back the line had grown down the whole aisle. it was a really well run experience on walmart’s part until the end. they tripped at the finish line. they handed everyone tags with the wrong tv on them, which ruffled a few feathers naturally. they had to ghetto write in the right bar code on all of them. (brett said he wished he could have had the tv on the tag instead for the same price ha.)photo 4(2)we drove home to set up the tv immediately (silly me thought we’d leave it in the box until moving day a week later). my brothers really enjoyed this whole experience since they got all the thrill of the purchase without actually forking over any dough. they were playing it up so much back and forth off each other, i’m surprised we didn’t end up with a 90 inch tv or something. and p.s. the size of this one is called stupid big.
so we finished setting up the tv around midnight and someone had to drive kyre home. brett had to work the next day so he had to sleep. kyre and i hit up best buy and a couple other places on our way across town. then after i dropped him off i decided to stop at target (which was dead) and old navy (which was still ridiculous). somehow i ended up waiting in line there for 2 1/2 hours? i’m an idiot. the line tricked me. i thought it was going to be quick like the best buy line but nope. we ever so slowly snaked our way through the whole place. i was next to a really nice older mother daughter duo. i wouldn’t have stayed but i found this online return dress that was only $5 and better quality than just a cotton dress! it was fate that i found it! i got home at 5:30a with tired little puppy dog toes and slept for 2 1/2 hours before waking up to go to little b’s birthday party. can’t believe he’s one!bbdayafter the party brett went to work and i did christmas card pics for my work friend and evan and karley. i didn’t feel too bad running on no sleep until i stopped moving after dinner at clara’s. that made me want to pass out! i drove home and proceeded to stay up until 11 cause i had some graphic design stuff to do for one of my young women. man. makes me tired just thinking about that day.

next catch up: the move!
